I'm feelin' the effects of the harsh 80 degree weather of December in California.
Out of all the American holidays out there, I think Christmas is the most enjoyable. There's the Christmas lights, get togethers, presents, the spirit of generosity, buying and giving, good food, Christmas specials, the trees, and time off. I don't even do the tree, and wait til Christmas presents thing as much anymore. Even if you're not religious, Christmas has already become secularized enough to enjoy as is. The word "Holiday" has increasingly become used to vaguely refer to the holidays this time of the year. I prefer to focus on Christmas and keep Christmas as Christmas is. It's unfortunate that other holidays such as Hanukkah and Kwanzaa have to be associated or seem to be in competition against Christmas. I don't know why Americans even pay attention to Kwanzaa, it's just an appreciation week some guy in the 60's invented out of the blue without any real meaning. And only black people celebrate that. It should be moved to Black History month.

So like I was saying, Christmas. It 's the most wonderful time of the year unless you're getting trampled, shot, or robbed while shopping. Or getting a cold. Don't forget to give to the Salvation Army unless your local department store has banned them from your parking lots. Nothing beats Christmastime.
