To keep things simple, I've been really free recently..
Of course, I've been attending various events and premieres of friends' films. Here are some below.
The launch of 'Cubik'
And the Premiere of local horror feature film 'Haunted Changi'
Both films fell on the same date and time, so I chose to watch 'Haunted Changi' since I'd get to watch 'Cubik' again at the Singapore Short Film Festival, where 'HOT' is premiering. But after both shows, I met up with the people involved in them, and good friends Lyon, Farid, and Director Tzang Mervyn Tong. Accompanied by Gloria and Nabil.
Been to 'HOT' Premiere at the '6th Singapore Short film Festival' as well! Along with watching 'Cubik'. Its an awesome film! You guys should catch it!
Director Koo Chia Meng for 'HOT' talking to the audiences.
I had no idea what Laura and Lyon was doing.
Last of all, 'Sinema Showoff! The Oriental Show' was a Full House on Tuesday. And we had lined up 7 directors for 7 films (Of which 2 I'm involved Ahem*) for a pretty... DETAILED Q&A session.
As for theatres, I've been to 'The Vlee Conference' starring FLY Entertainment artistes Irene Ang, Brandon Fernandaz (Atticus Finch in TKAM!), Chua Enlai and Shane Mardjuki (Anniversary).
Then there was Fried Rice Paradise. Starring one of AnD Artiste Lim Yu Beng
It was Fariz Spear's birthday the day I went to watch it. Happy birthday Fariz!
Also bumped into Royston Tan that day.
I actually had lots of fried rice craving after watching it.
Watching 'Chestnut 3D: Fried Monty AKA a nightmare on Glee Street' was the most entertaining among all. Couldn't stop laughing at the spoofs especially those on 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'December Rains'. Judee Tan, who starred in December Rains, was actually spoofing herself in Chestnuts.
At the moment, I'm in Guangzhou. Apologise for the late blog but I've just simply being lazy and nothing much was really going on except all the above. And had been really busy since arriving HongKong.
See you guys who are in HK next weekend?
