Meaning Happy New Year! Hei Pi Niu Er!
New year in Guangzhou wasn't very exciting, but definitely happy to see my full family forces again and going around visiting relatives and meeting my slowly growing up siblings, cousins, nephews and neices!
And of course, the good food I get to savour over these few days to get fat!
lets start with grandma version of 大豆芽菜 right after i've arrived guangzhou
Followed by reunion dinner!
Its all about reunion!
And of course not forgetting all the cam-whorings with my sister!
At night we went out to the new year eve market, and found a fantastic piece of art, the 5 tiger warriors from 三国演义. My dad loves it very much! its the biggest piece that we bought from the shop!
This is how it looks like
Dad and sister both bought a new pair of shoes for new year! I had mine too earlier this year, which i found it featured on magazine.
Its almost 12 midnight and we were back home waiting for time to past. Every year, there's a minor chore for my sister and i to do before the new year. Putting in red packets! Ahhh!!
Ehem.. lots of money, but not meant for us.
Ding Ding! Its 12 midnight! We all had a picture beside the mandarin orange tree before seating down together and enjoy the first 糖水 of the year!
This is my accessory of the month, Since i'm born in the year of ox, i should really wear it on me. Yes i'm turning 24.
Spent the past few days going around visiting relatives. But being a kid, my sister and some siblings will always get bored over adult talks. they decided to drag me down to some nearby cafes for coffee. Surprisingly, the ambience was good and the coffee was fantastic! even the cakes and comics!
We've also been to dad's old place when he was in primary school. Its a pretty run down area already, but seriously it has lots of sentimental values to it. I shall blog about my father in my next post so stay tuned!
I've arrived back in Hong Kong today evening. Having no where to go and daddy still in China, my sister and i decided to treat ourselves to more good food with your red packet money! We had ruby tuesday.
I guess i should stop blogging about food already haha! Otherwise i'll be as fat as a cat!
Hereby wishing all Visitors a Happy Chinese New Year! Wishing you a joyous, healthy and prosperous year of ox! Mooooooooo~~~~
