The pink and pretty entrance of Studio Rouge on the Bund.
On Thursday 8 March, a veritable flock descended upon Studio Rouge for the oh-so-ooh-la-la opening of island6′s latest solo show.
Ooh Lala on the Bund, by kind invitation of Studio Rouge, is a “circus of visual surprise and sensual delight” from the Kiss Me, Thrill Me, Honey Honey world of the island6 tech-geeks. A mix of signature island6 interactive artwork, dancing-flashing LEDs, gleaming naughty neons and fusion papercut pieces were selected to seduce and enchant Shanghaiites on a grey, austere Thursday night.
The team was on hand to set up the show with the lovely boys and girls of Studio Rouge and its wonderful director George Michell. After weeks of hair-pulling stress, so-late-it’s-early hours and enduring dark circles under everyone’s eyes, the champagne and caviar opening party was a beautiful release. Madcap mayhem ensued, but only in the best possible way. You want pictures, don’t you? We know you do.

That was the last photo our photographer took before collapsing in a drunken stupor. As you can see, it was an awesome party in true island6-studio rouge style. Thanks to all friends, fans and supporters who braved the bite of the Shanghai winter to come down!
Till next time, take care, squeeze those tits tight, and don’t let the bed bugs bite.
XOXOXOXO
