On March 28 th, island6 Hong Kong opened its 3 rd in house exhibition, featuring acrobatic artworks, smoking beauties, some hot and heavy Hong Kong rain and one delicious roasted pig’s head. Need.Want.Hunt was a fantastic celebration of desire, impulse and good old-fashioned sex appeal of digital meets instinctual charm. The show featured Liu Dao’s signature LED animations, Jian Zhi, seductive paintings and several interactive video artworks.
Our newest piece was debued, City Cult, in which a climbing acrobat scales up a dangling rope that hangs over the dense Hong Kong skyline.
By the time the show was finally installed, promptly at 5:59 pm, everyone was covered in a delightful film of sweat and grease. Thankfully some delicious alcoholic nourishment brought everyone back to life just in time for the guests to arrive, which they did in stylish Hong Kong hoardes at 6 pm. The party went well into the evening, thanks to our sponsors, Abbelio Wines, more than generous supply of bubbly prosecco, fruity pinot grigio and smooth cabernet.
