Next weekend SURGE Shanghai art fair will be showcasing some of Liu Dao’s artworks along with other contemporary artist’s work from all over China. The fair will take place on the 20th and 21st of October from 10:00am to 8:00pm in the River South Art Center, 1247 Nan SuZhou Road (near Xinzhao Road). Since our prices are above SURGE’s RMB30,000 limit, we will be donating any profits that exceed that limit to Prevention Through Education (PTE). PTE is a non-profit organization in China that promotes awareness in order to prevent the stigmatization of people with HIV/AIDS. It is a great organization that helps our local community and we are proud to be a supporter.
This year SURGE will display seven of Liu Dao’s artworks including: “ Big Fine(重罚)”, “ Red Comrades at Dawn(黎明时的同志)” and “ The Self-Moving Car(骑三轮车的女孩)”. These artworks will vary from LED display to vintage Photography and will be displayed in a separate section that SURGE has created specifically for Liu Dao’s pieces. We are very excited to have such support and generosity from the SURGE organisers!
A friendly reminder that our new exhibition, The Cat that Eats Diodes, will open on the 27 th of October in Shanghai and the 3 rd of November in Hong Kong. Make sure to stop by!
