First exhibition for 2013 Opening Jan 24th: Need. Want. Hunt.

Happy New Year to you all! We hope you celebrated the festive season in fine form.

At island6 we’ve hit the ground running with a host of exhibitions and special commissions on the cards for the first months of this year.

First up, we are currently exhibiting at Art Stage Singapore. If you are lucky enough to be soaking in the tropical heat of Singapura, please swing by the Art Seasons Gallery booth where you can find seven of our new artworks on display.

And for those of you here in Shanghai, we would like to invite you to come by the M50 gallery tomorrow night for the opening of our first show of the year, Need. Want. Hunt.

In this show, Liu Dao’s artists invite you to tease the triggers of your instinct as we use our usual blend of video, animation, photography, sculpture, neon and LED animation, to break the static and play with the endings of everyday tales amidst the oft-overlooked sights of Shanghai, from the top storeys of glamorous skyscrapers, to the rubble of crumbling construction zones.
