Leo Tolstoy once wrote “Spring is the time of plans and projects” and never too true a word was spoken. We may still be recovering from the Body-City-Mechanism Vernissage and preparing for our exhibitions in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Beijing, but any excuse to party and show some people our art is ok with us. So when M50 invited us to feature in their co-ordinated joint opening, how could we possibly refuse? The art districts finest galleries were arranged into a winning formation of edgy contemporary art exhibitions, with lots of surprises and booze.

In the spirit of true community we decided to play our hand and get involved. Our Shanghai Garden was transformed into a Beer Garden, where lovers of the fine weather could lounge about drinking Bofferding beer. Our sponsors, Bofferding, did a wonderful job of keeping the masses watered.
Over at the island6 headquarters, Li Kai kept the crowds entertained with the heavenly sounds of the Gu Zheng and art lovers had a chance to preview our work before it gets shipped off to Hong Kong for “ Urban Operandi” and “ Modus Operandi”. Spring time is well and truly underway and our many projects and plans are coming into fruition. But we’re never too busy to have a bit of fun….
