I saw this play last night, really not knowing what to expect, and loved it!!
Only a few more weeks left of this witty, fast moving play. Written by a Bruce Norris, a fellow Northwestern theater alum, it won the Tony for past play.....try and listen to producer Jordan Roth's acceptance speech at the Tony's, it's brilliant. If you can't go see the play, find a script and read it!
CLYBOURNE PARK explodes in two outrageous acts set 50 years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification.
