Is it ok to just touch strangers only because they happen to be plants? Did you know that plants have defense mechanisms? Thorns are possibly the most common ones to us. But they also have an ability called chemical signaling. Upon danger a plant feels stress which causes their roots to release chemicals which are sent out via a fungus network in order to warn other plants. This causes the other plants to produce poison in order to prepare for imminent attacks by insects for example. Maybe we feel the need to be in touch with nature, but that doesn't mean we should just touch plants for no important reason. Let me know if you agree or the reason why you disagree.
