During rough times, the strangest stories develop into news trends.

The closely watched and talked about situation in New York, Banking and Professional-Client Relationships continues ...

Debrahlee Lorenzana was fired from Citigroup and so far the story continues with invitation after invitation to become a celebrity ( story). Unfortunately, this weekend's story is ill-timed with Newark's school donation from FaceBook's potential raise and upcoming movie.

However, amongst the cosmetics, beauty, fashion, professional communities (lawyers, doctors, bankers etc) ... it remains a topic for debate. Companies fire people for all kinds of reasons. This is definitely a costly battle ... and Debrahlee's search ranking keeps rising higher and higher. So far she hasn't taken any offers from media such as Playboy (as this could weaken her case).

Interesting questions were discussed over Sunday brunch:

1. If a paying patient was sick with a virus and wanted antibiotics (would you give it to them?)

1. If a paying client needed investment dollars but really needed a loan for their ongoing purchase orders (would you approve the investment?)

1. Debrahlee paid to have the enlargements to attract a "soulmate", clearly she wasn't going to dress to hide her figure (investment), could there have been any other alternative than this showdown?

... sure makes for an interesting Sunday Brunch discussion amongst friends.

But not every case has an prolonged ending like this one. In the case last year with ex-teacher Tiffany Shepherd divorced, jobless, and having lost custody to her children ... she turned into hardcore porn to make a living ( story). Was it a stint to change jobs or was it being backed into a corner ... ?
