Last Sunday, I went to check out the LV Exhibition. The outside looked crazy, few friends of mine were at the opening and said to have a look. When u get to the gate, take the $10 lane, unless u want to see the other museum exhibitions. Which is nah...no disrespecting the Chinese ancient arts though. I got sucker'd and took the $30 lane. I've seen the museum before so...I'm so bummed I couldn't take any pics inside. I didn't have my camera set and there were security everywhere-oh well. Which was good, because I gave me a chance to just really have a look and feel of the work instead of being a 'collector of images'. I think LV could have made it something more though. Like they could have tried to top the Chanel Mobile Art Exhibition. Come up with a crazier concept...blame it on the economy? Blame it on the timing? Blame it on the a, a, a, a, a, alcohol! Actually, not crazy amounts to see; highlights were the vintage LV luggage, works by the artists the brand have collabo'd with; Steve Sprouse, Richard Prince and Takashi Murakami. I love monograms; I like a lot LV; but I won't carry a man purse.
