I'm excited to announce a new concept album that I'm composing right now. “Spoiler Alert” is a full-length studio album of dramatic orchestral music inspired by movie trailers. In my mind, trailers perfectly capture the best moments in a movie. You know how you watch a trailer and it's all the coolest shots from a film? The very best ones feel like a mini-movie all on their own. The album will also include new symphonic suites of music composed for NigaHiga, Wong Fu Productions, and Michelle Phan.
I was inspired by some great movies that I watched this month (“The Hunger Games” anyone?) and by listening again to some of my favorite soundtrack themes from the past. We don't hear enough memorable themes in modern movies so I want to create a collection of themes that is a throwback to thematic music from the 70's-90's. I'm hoping to cover the costs for recording the album through crowd funding and I'm asking for your help. Check out my Kickstarter page and I hope you can support “Spoiler Alert!”
