I visited this afternoon the set of “ Dream Home” (previous working title: “ Victoria Bay”), the new movie directed by Pang Ho-cheung (“ You Shoot I Shoot”, “ Men Suddenly In Black”, “ Isabella”…), which will be, apparently the bloodiest and craziest Hong Kong horror slasher movie ever made (I was told that a few days ago, a girl from the crew ran away to throw up after watching some footage on the monitor)
No pictures involving bloody make up and no video shooting were allowed on the set (at the Clearwater Bay Film Studio), but I could made two video interviews outside with Phat Chan(from
24 Herbs) who plays a drug dealer in the movie…
and Andrew Lin, who’s back exceptionally after 13 years, as a make-up special effects artist (his former job before he became an actor).
I also made several audio interviews with:
Pang Ho-cheung(writer, director, producer)
Felix Lok(actor)
Derek Tsang(writer, actor, line producer)
Jimmy Wan(writer, line producer)
Juno Mak(actor)
and Subi Liang(producer)
I will write a preview article about “ Dream Home” for the French magazine Mad Movies, and will probably put some excerpts of the video interviews on Alive Not Dead as well. I also plan to interview at least Josie Ho (main actress and producer) and Conroy Chan (producer) during my stay in Hong Kong.
I don’t want to say too much about the movie (I’m saving it for the magazine) but you can already find some in formations about it on Twitch right HERE.
