Joint Statement by The Hong Kong Ballet and Faye Leung ( SCMP 28th )

The Hong Kong Ballet and Faye Leung are pleased to announce that Faye Leung, ex-principal dancer of the Company, will perform with The Hong Kong Ballet in the position of Guest Artist even though she is no longer a member of the staff. 

The Chairman and the Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Faye for her significant contribution over the last 13 years in helping to build The Hong Kong Ballet into one of the premier ballet companies in Asia. Executive Director Evonne Tsui said, “Throughout her career with the Company, Faye has established herself as a principal ballerina well loved by local audiences for her fluid dancing and engaging persona. We apologize and regret  that Faye’s departure earlier in the year has caused concerns about the Company’s and the artist’s reputation. We are delighted to invite that Faye to reappear with us as a Guest Artist and we wish Faye every success in her future career.”

In response, Faye Leung said, “ I look forward to working with the Company again in the future.”

香港芭蕾舞團及梁菲的聯合聲明

香港芭蕾舞團與梁菲宣佈，前首席舞蹈員梁菲將以客席藝人身份參與香港芭蕾舞團表演。

香港芭蕾舞團一直建立其實力和聲譽，現已成為亞洲最優秀的芭蕾舞團之一，主席及董事局對於梁菲過去１３年在此過程中所作出的貢獻，深表謝意。行政總監徐嘉鳴說：「梁菲在香港芭蕾舞團的職業生涯中，以純熟流暢的舞藝和個人魅力，成為深得香港觀眾愛戴的首席芭蕾舞演員。月前，香港芭蕾舞團與梁菲解約的過程，引起了社會上人士的關注，令公司及梁菲的聲譽備受質疑，對此，舞团深感歉意及遺憾。我们已诚意邀请梁菲以客席藝人身份參與香港芭蕾舞團的演出，謹祝她在未來的事業上獲得更高的成就！」

梁菲說：「我期待與舞團繼續合作。」
