So I was at the Uni Power Concert / Universal Music Concert last night at Asia World Expo. I was very pleased about the whole performance. Notwithstanding that there were few bits of forgetting the lyrics, and a few pitchy bits, everyone sang really well. Eason and Hacken were as usual, the ones with the powerful voice. Other belters included Hins Cheung. The new Taiwanese singer (Liang Wen Ying) was a breath of fresh air. The lineup was very interesting in that there was a good mix up of artist singing covers, as well as singing their own songs.Kay Tse and Prudence Lau looked absolute stunning with their wardrobes. Yes I developed a crush on BOTH of them instantly. What I was dissapointed about was the crowd's reaction as soon as the last song finished, yup you've guessed it, everyone was just rushing off to their cars, MTR or what have you. This all happened while the artist (bless them) were still waving goodbye and genuinely wanted to bond with the audience. This all made me think about the loss of "stardom" at this day & age. What kind of figures do people look up to these days? Who are the rock stars of our generation?
