I just read something that could help the story out a little:
Amblyopia:
"A disorder of the visual system that is characterized by poor or indistinct vision in an eye that is otherwise physically normal, or out of proportion to associated structural abnormalities."
This sounds like a deficiency that Clay could have. Thing is it could technically be caused by some trauma as a child, insinuating that Clay could have suffered some abuse when he was very young, perhaps before Devon was born.
I'm kicking butt on the scrīpt right now. I'm basically in the polishing phase right now, and I'm also waiting for everyone to read it. It's kind of hard for them when I keep sending them a new draft every week, so I'm going to wait until mid-May so they have time to read the current version, and then I'll spring another version on them (with bolded changes, don't worry).
Also I'm hoping to finish up the budget prospectus asap so I can start sending it out to companies to secure some funding. I honestly have no idea where to go for this, but I'll start with HK Flix and see where it goes from there.
Other than that I'm kind of sick right now. I called in sick yesterday to work, and I guess I've called in one too many Monday sicknesses (weekends, even without drinking, can kick my ass royally), and some people at the office didn't buy it. So my supervisor suggested I come in and give some face, and I ended up sitting in the evidence office with Shaun for a few hours coughing my lungs out. Hopefully Shaun doesn't get sick, because then he has a legitimate complaint, and then if my supervisor gets blamed for asking me to come in sick, then I'll get even more blame for being sick on Mondays for 3 weeks! What a crappy situation. Can't really blame anybody for this one.
