On Friday Ed and I met up with our hopefully-Director of Photography, Greg Ephriam. The guy's on the same page as we are. We're hoping to schedule a shoot with him once he physically has his Red One camera. We've also decided to shoot Skyward in 2K rather than 4K. There's simply no good reason to shoot 4K right now, especially for something that probably won't go past DVD release. Even if it did, 2K's good enough for projection. 4K's just ridiculous. It takes up way too much space, and it would cost us a LOT MORE to store.
Sat down and almost finished the working draft of the scrīpt. Bolded all the changes. The big change is that instead of Devon being Jamie's brother, he's now Clay's brother. That changes their dynamic drastically, and Clay's motivations are much clearer now that his brother's in danger.
Not sure what else to add. Another version and I'll already be done with the working draft of the scrīpt. I've sent it to Greg so he can start figuring out the lighting/shooting specifics. Only real big thing to do next is get the rest of our budget in line. We have about 40% of it right now, and if we can't secure the remainder from investors, I'm thinking of taking out a small business loan. I'm confident I could pay that back pretty easily, and then I'd just own the movie and things would be very dandy indeed.
