when I was driving home after the radio award show, there were police roadblocks on the highway. I thought they were going to let me pass, but then I saw the police waving their hands asking me to stop. I was a little nervous wondering why am I being stopped ??? was it cause i was speaking to my speaker phone??they told me I’ve been randomly picked to take a breath test. I picked a brand new tube out of the bag and then blew into the machine. I passed because I am a responsible driver and would never drink and drive.
I was very happy to take the breath test and I support the Police/HK Government for putting these kinds of roadblocks and breath test stations to protect the citizens from drunk drivers.
I remember last year, five workers were going to work but they were killed because of a drunk driver. it was a very very sad and tragic accident that could have been prevented.
drunk driving is a dangerous and selfish act of the driver and their irresponsible actions has killed lives of many innocent bystanders.
please, if you drink, don’t drive. If you know someone who had been drinking, don’t let him or her drive. we are very lucky in Hong Kong there is always taxi’s available to take us home safely. so please, be a responsible person, don’t drive if you have been drinking.
be safe everybody! Happy New Years!!! let's have a safe and successful 2010!!
Love,
Ella
