So, went out, saw Ailey and was moved, once again, like i am always moved by the energy, technique and pure love of dance body and movement that is ailey.
Revelations- Ailey's signature work is over fifty years old and still, even the normally placid Hong Kong audience sprang to their feet, yelled clapped and blew kisses at the stage at the finale.
Okay, i'm off to take the company member to the big buddah.... Anything I can do to thank them for coming!
I'm really psyched! Emily and I are going to see the company i used to dance for this evening (well, i danced in the junior company.... in my past life... many years ago.... but there you go) I am looking forward to seeing Ailey's classic Choreography. Especially Revelations which i had the unbelievable privileged to dance in. It's such a moving life changing experience to see Ailey Dancers and to see them doing Ailey's classic choreography is a special event.
