What is seaport.exe SeaPort.exe is installed by various Windows Live applications. Officially, it is part of the Window Live Toolbar.
How does it affect your Window System?
The SeaPort service is setup as a Windows automatic service, which means that it runs at boot time on each and every start-up. This increases what may already be a painfully slow Windows boot-up sequence. Additionally, seaport.exe runs continuously in the background. This costs you around 4.5 MB of RAM. And, whenever SeaPort decides it is time to check for and download those updates, it will soak up some of your bandwidth as well.Is there an uninstaller for this service? If you want to remove SeaPort.exe you’ll have to do it manually because there is no uninstaller program installed along with the service.
What harm will it do if I removed it?
You propably won't see any differences to the system or the internet except that your computer would probably run faster without this irritating and unnecessary service.
Is there a Solution? After prowling the web for a solution, I tried to do a few things to stop the service from running. What I found on the web are solutions which are rather unfriendly for those who are not familiar with the computer environment.
So I have decided to compile my own solutions with resources from some of the methods suggested online. I merely increased a few necessary steps to ensure a total clearing of the mess.
** Most of the suggestions online do not clean the files, they merely stopped the service from running.
