Attitude towards the bible

During my qt, I was super convicted about my bible reading attitude. Just thinking about the gospels alone and how short they are, the authors mustve wrote down the things that they felt were CRUCIALLY important. They chose specific events in the life of JESUS... to record. Let me say that again, they wrote down for followers like you and me events of our Lord and Savior that they deemed so important for us to read.Many times I choose what and where I want to read. Or I read it just as a daily devotional.If I recorded an event that I knew would change the world, I would hope that my reader would read everything...I think about how many times I've skipped over the genealogy of Jesus, and felt like it was just really long... And wondered why it was even in there?Anyhow, my prayer is that I read the Bible from a different perspective, and I see the Bible for what it really is.
