Thanks for the 85up2 mixtape release party

It finally happened! It's almost a year since we started 85up2. We got to know one another a lot better and we've seen one another improve. And this mixtape contains all the stuff we been thru in the past year.

Our member Kodie came up with the idea of doing our release party at the To Kwa Wan Cattle Depot. I loved the idea of doing music in a venue dedicated to arts. But i was really worried about the number of people that would come to the show since the cattle depot is not the most convenient place to go to. 

It was extremely tiring to start from scratch in making the show happen. We had to set up the stage, the audio and everythin by ourselves. I really appreciate the help from everyone who helped out! I should say especially DJ X Large who brought a lot of his equipment over including 2 subwoofers.

I expected only 30 people to come watch the show and get our free mixtape. But wow. 100+ people attended our party. It's way beyond my expectations! I see the respect from a lot of people and really appreciate each and everyone of u who turned up and supported us!

Now the mixtape is done, we're gonna distribute it to random retail shops and yall could just take a copy for free if u want. Next up, I wanna continue with my production! Kz's album! And of course, hopefully the 85up2 album with the 1st single being "Fantasy Island" haha!!

We'll be off to Malaysia to rock a few shows next week!
