Hi Loveys! I been deep in the zone, gigging some amazing events, in the studio producing and working on some exciting new projects! To recap the biggest highlights, I dj'd at the Grand Opening of LEGIT at CONTROL, the friday weekly at Avalon in Hollywood. This is a separate VIP area with its own side entrance, and is hosted by Ben Beck, the Everyday crew and Audrey Napoleon. That night was the 1st nite that particular room was packed all night, and its been going off ever since! Check it out if you're in LA, always world-class Electro, House, and Nu-Disco artists such as Tiga, LCD Soundsystem and The Juan Maclean.Had an incredible Memorial Day Weekend. I played a new spot called OPEN AIR at Wokcano in Santa Monica. It has a huge outdoor lounge & dancefloor area featuring top notch House headliners such as Dave Dresden, Mark Farina and Heather. Then I got to throw down, seriously throw down, with my girls Eva, Reid Speed, Roxanne & Miyuki at BROKE at Holly's in Hollywood. With this crew its always "A-game" time, with a mix of Breaks, Electro, Fidget & Dubstep! Then I had a truly amazing gig come my way...the DJ Hero video game launch party!! I got booked to be the house DJ to warm up the crowd for DJ AM & Travis Barker, and then again for JAY-Z & EMINEM!!! This was the party of parties kids! Activision went all out for this E3 Conference kick-off event with complimentary valet, red carpet, specialty caterers, full open bar, and ultra VIP was in the balcony with reported celeb sightings Leonardo di Caprio, Kim Kardashian & Pete Wentz. The visuals for AM & Travis' set were beautifully architected with the tracks, synchronized with a spot on interpretation of each song. Now I enjoy hip hop, but I'm not a fanatic, definitely very picky and lean more toward old skool hip hop...now with that said...I have to say I was absolutely impressed with Jay-Z!! Wow. He is such a charismatic performer. I was dancing my ass off! And then the clincher was Eminen joining him onstage for a joint performance as they transitioned over to Em's part of the show. As you know, he's been away for quite some time, but he sounded tight as ever, on top of his game. Quite the show, quite the gig, and I was ever so thrilled to be part of it.I am waiting to get pix from my friend, since I have yet to replace my camera that was stolen from one of my gigs (boooo....!) so will post as soon as I can!Hearts!Syrena xo
