R.I.P. Mother's Cookies - noooooooooooooo!!!

think life couldn't get any worse after the financial crisis?  think again!

Mother's Cookies, an Oakland institution for 92 years, has been shuttered, its owner seeking bankruptcy protection for the company.

The ending was abrupt: Workers for the company, which shifted its baking and distribution operations to plants in Ohio and Canada in 2006, told workers Friday that operations would cease and cookies would no longer be made as of Monday.

Lovefest 2008: An amazing day in San Francisco!

In a word, Lovefest this year was EPIC!!!!  The weather forecast was for rain, but at noon the clouds opened up and it was nothing but sunny skies all afternoon.

I had an absolute blast playing on our float during the parade.  DJing while rolling down Market Street and passing by tens of thousands of people is something that I'll never forget.

Lovefest 2008: This Saturday in San Francisco!

For anyone in the San Francisco area, come check out Lovefest this weekend!  Our float will be #24 in a lineup of 28 floats!

after two years of insanity, we decided to take a break from having a float in the parade and doing an afterparty.

however, several of us decided to volunteer as float monitors to help guide the floats during the parade.  perks included an official Lovefest shirt and VIP badge.
