Like many of you, I've just been too busy to blog. I've finally got a Saturday morning where I can leisurely sit at my computer with a cup of coffee and have a moment to relax.
Lots of things have happened since my last entry. Immediately after graduation, work picked up and my life became consumed by a couple major projects. I worked late every night, including two weekends in a row. I did get Christmas day and New Year's day off, but other than that it was work, work, work.
It was definitely a challenging project for many reasons. I do feel like I learned a lot about the production pipeline and what my strengths and weaknesses are as a designer and an animator. Despite the long hours and the stress (which eventually led to me getting sick for a couple days after it was over), I'm glad my education is being put to use and I'm confident that I'm picking up skills and experience that will serve me well in the future.
Because of our tight deadline for the project, it was looking like I wouldn't be able to go out on NYE nor enjoy a New Year's day off. In San Francisco, there's a crazy party called Breakfast of Champions on New Year's day that starts at 6am and goes until 6pm. It's one of my favorite parties of the year and to miss it would have been crushing.
But I got the day off so yes, I did get to go!
Waiting in line to get in at 9am. The line stretched around the block!
Good times with friends:

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions, but if I did it would be to get back in shape (I think I might actually go to wushu practice today...for the first time in 8 months) and to blog more.
Until next time, AnD!
