A couple blogs back I shared my submission for The Webby-in-Motion competition.
The good news is The Webby's selected it as a finalist and the piece will be shown during the awards show in New York! I'm also receiving the Master Collection CS3 from Adobe...which is basically every single piece of Adobe software in one bundle!
The only caveat is that I designed and submitted it for the "living" category, but they wanted to use it for the "services" category. So I had to reshoot some green screen footage and edit the piece and resubmit it. Personally, I think it looks out of place for the "services" category, but oh well.
I'm just glad they liked it!
The other good news is that I found out my interstitial for MYX.tv is being shown regularly on the network.
Being in school, it's nice to know that atleast some of my work is considered good enough to use in the professional world. I still have 6 months to go in my program and my classmates and I are all concerned about putting together a solid body of work, a kickass reel and hopefully, securing an incredibly creative job at an amazing company. Well, that's the dream, anyway.
This term is going to be another demanding one, but I'm excited to be doing more Cinema 4D and After Effects work.
In other news, I'm heading up to Oregon this weekend to lead a wushu seminar for the University of Oregon Wushu club! It's been awhile since I've worked out with the club (several years, even?).
