My First DJ Set in Nagoya City

I've spun all across Tokyo (Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, Akasaka) and Yokohama (Yokohama, Zushi Beach) but I've never left the Greater Tokyo Area with my music.  I've pretty much never left the Greater Tokyo Area period.  This is exactly one of the reasons why I've made the decision to temporarily move to Nagoya; to experience something new, expand my networks, and spread the gospel of music.  On September 1st I made the move to Nagoya, and October 26 was my first official event.  It was a small one but a good one. The booking of this event came rather quick and easily.  My friend from Chiba was in town and we went for a late night drink at a Jamaican bar about a minute walk away from my apartment building.  When I was using the bathroom my friend was telling the bar owner how I was a big time hot shot DJ back in Tokyo.  By the time I came out of the bathroom I had already been offered a small gig.  The owner said there would be an event on Thursday the 26th and I could play.  I was rather taken by the offer and gladly accepted.  Since spinning at "Jamaica & World Food Bar 'Aaty'", I've befriended the bar owner, the staff, wonderful guest and the Nagoya reggae DJ crew "Totalize" who put on the event.I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to do the event again next month, I had loads of fun.  You can find all the photos from the night on Flickrhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/djantomattei/sets/72157622560526853/Selectors Hayassen (Totalize)
