Jay-Z No Longer Runs Rap No More He Runs The Map.

On 9/11 2001, everyone knows what went down.  Terrorist hijacked two planes and rammed them into the famous World Trade Center.  A sad tragedy it was and now we are into the eighth year memorial of this event.  My heart goes out to everyone who lost their lives this day. Overshadowing another event which also occurred on the same day, on a positive tip; September 11th is also the day Jay-Z released his ground breaking album "The Blueprint".  Now eight years later history repeats.  "The Blueprint 3" arrives today on Jay-Z's new label "Roc Nation" which he created in a deal along with "Live Nation".   Live Nation "signs" artist as a "record label", but predominantly takes the role of a promoter, rather than "owner of music".After having a sit-down with the whole album about a week before its release I was a bit skeptical of the material.  One week later though I will say I now approve.  It took me time to grow with the music and for it to grow on me.  The entire album lyrically Jay is still on top.  Jay flexes with his flow on a majority of the tracks and is (should I dare say it) cocky.  He has every right to be cocky though after having 10 number 1 albums.  The music and "beats", which most people like to talk about these days are hit or miss.  Either the really abstract sounding music is going to be loved or hated.  The really hard and rough sounding tracks work well such as "Real As It Gets" featuring Young Jeezy (it's a raw track) and "On To The Next One" produced by Swizz Beatz (which samples dance group Justice's song "D.A.N.C.E").  Also the really smooth tracks work well too because they are just that, smooth.  These tracks include "Thank You" and "So Ambitious" featuring Pharrell and produced by The Neptunes. If you have all the prior Jay-Z albums such as I do you will want to have the physical copy in your collection, if not then I just recommend for you to download my selected top 6 tracks only.  Everyone might have a difference of opinion of what they deem to be the best tracks.  As a pro DJ it's my job to select good music, my whole job is based on it.  I feel these tracks represent the entire album as a whole and the best it has to offer.Definitely Download:"What We Talkin' About" (feat. Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun)"Thank You""Real As It Gets" (feat. Young Jeezy)"On To The Next One" (feat. Swizz Beatz)"Already Home" (feat. Kid Cudi)"So Ambitious" (feat. Pharrell)
