So the past several months have been crazy, as we've been finishing up the post-production phase of our show, " CB FRESH". With the show now practically finished, and having already held a couple test screenings for feedback, our team is just about ready to present it to the big boys.
Here's a recap of the final leg of our process:
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #8 - LIFE CAFE, MONGKOK
This place was actually right next door to "Unofficial Office #4 - Cafe Workshop". Its white interior covered a cozy little space inside.
Cool jigsaw logo.
My kinda place!
I wasn't sure if this thing was edible...
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #9 - TE, CAUSEWAY BAY
Next up is Te, located in DNM (Delay No Mall) in CWB. This place has actually been more or less our "Official Unofficial Office" since we've been working closely with GOD/Delay No More and have used the restaurant as our base of operations. They serve a variety of pastas and have a really nice clean decor.
Our glacial palace.
This little piggy went to...
Working seriously or seriously working?
Our methods for fighting carpal tunnel symdrome.
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #10 - GRAZE CAFE, SHEUNG WAN
I was introduced to Graze by Spencer, as the company he works for "Fluid Friction" also runs this cafe. Very cool green, earthy tones and fantastic lattes.
It was October when I took this, hence the halloween decorations.
Nice interior design.
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #11 - CAFE RIMI, MONGKOK
Tucked away inside a building complex in Mongkok, I found this little gem called Rimi Cafe. I totally dug the color scheme of Joker Purple and green. It was also this location that we chose some impromptu voice over work, and here is where you will see the power of Macgyver-ish improvisation.
Crowded with teeny boppers wondering what the heck we were doing.
The crew staking our territory.
We are whores for publicity.
Our makeshift soundbooth! It actually worked suprisingly well!
Simon almost losing use of his eyes from staring at the screen for so long.
Getting it done.
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #12 - KOSMOS, LKF, CENTRAL
Next, we went to Kosmos the "Wellness Cafe". They serve fresh juice, shakes and smoothies. Definitely slanting towards a "healthier" lifestyle, Kosmos was a nice alternative to all the other types of Cafes that we had visited before.
The main entrance where you ordered your drinks and food.
Upstairs it opened up, with a whole floor of seating.
All in a hard day's work.
Luckily, our new intern Shan dropped by and helped set everything straight.
UNOFFICIAL OFFICE #13 - THE FLYING PAN, WAN CHAI
So nearing the end of our marathon editing sessions, Simon and I pushed on through and went to The Flying Pan, one of the few joints in Hong Kong that is open 24-hours. With my bottomless coffee paid for, we raced to finish it by sunrise.
40's diner style. I totally miss this from New York.
All day breakfast!!! Hong Kong needs more of this!
Simon ordered this monstrocity.
Burning the midnight oil.
As daybreak reaches us, we finally finish!
Its been a great journey and hopefully when I blog next about this, it will be from a REAL office!
