At last we come to the final installment in our January Trilogy.
Having successfully invaded neighboring Macau, as well as, accomplishing key covert operations in Pacific Place, we now turned our attention to Causeway Bay and the birth celebration of Vicky Chan.
The final chapter took place last Saturday in Cenna.
The party's themes were PINK, RED or WHITE
This is where our story begins...
BOOK 3 CHAPTER 1 : THE ARRIVAL
The cold night wind whipped through the crack of the closing door and stung me in the face, as I pressed the button for the 23rd floor. The faint noise of traffic and city life slowly faded away and was replaced instead with a humming silence.
Having just been to this building several days ago, I knew what to expect upstairs. What I didn't know was if everything that we had planned was ready. But there was no turning back now. It was now or never.
At that moment, several hundred red LED lights went off, and then almost instantly came back on. The number "23" appeared. A small sound of a bell was heard and the elevator doors slid open to reveal the front hallway. I clutched a bouquet of newly bought pink roses and made my way down the hall.
Being a PINK themed party, Chung helped out with the decorations like pink balloons!
Yin brothers Simon & Terence were early arrivals.
We all played DICE GAMES while we waited for the birthday girl to arrive.
Finally, Vicky Chan arrived and made her entrance!
A birthday sandwich! Fellow Jan Babies Simon & Michael.
BOOK 3
CHAPTER 2 : THE DRINKThe arrival went smoothly so there was only one thing to do next... DRINK
BOOK 3
CHAPTER 3 : THE CAKEWith things getting out of control, the only way to restore order was to bring out something bright and tasty, something that would grab their attention... There were 2 cakes: a sponge cake with caramel crunch inside, and the other was a Baily's cheesecake baked personally by Judy.
Order was quickly restored and all was calm until suddenly...
CAKE FIGHT! I luckily got out unscathed unlike some of us....
BOOK 3
CHAPTER 4 : THE PINATA High atop the concrete and plaster, hanging on a rusted metal pipe, the pink horse looked down on us with a watchful eye. Its gaze was that of indifference, as if we were mere ants in its kingdom and to look upon it was to look upon pure majesty. Its pink plastic hairs streamed down to the ground like a waterfall made of cotton candy, as if teasing and mocking us ever so slightly. I guess it was time to KICK ITS ASS.
The blind warrior raised her weapon, tightly gripping the green hilt, and swung at the pink beast with all her might. The long shaft struck the beast's fluffy hide but quickly bounced off. Its armor was too think. Again the warrior swung, this time with more ferocity and vigor. But, as before, her rotund blade could not penetrate its thick cardboard carapace. Frustration and despair began to creep over her, as she started to lose hope. The pink beast looked on with emotionless eyes, hanging and swaying awaiting the next assault. She could not give up, the warrior thought. Everything she had done, all the sacrifices she had made, had all led up to this point. There was no turning back. She would not leave until the beast was slain. With that, she raised her head and met the beast face to face. Although blindfolded, she could feel its gaze upon her and she equally matched it with her own menacing stare. Her fingers clinched around the cheap plastic handle of her weapon, and within an instant, she unleashed a mighty roar and swung her weapon with all her might...
It was up to me to finish the job!
My hands dug deep into its belly, I could feel its stomach. I pushed further in and put my full fist inside to grab its heart and end its terrible reign. But, alas, IT HAD NO HEART. With a sad look and heavy realization, I stared into its unfeeling eyes one last time, and ripped it apart. It's stomach exploded into a firework of candy and treats, which rained upon the citizens below. We all raised our hands into a victory cheer. It was over. The beast was no more. We were now free.
