There has been a lot of posts today maligning me, which started with a post from Marysia Do. I want to set the record straight against any falsehoods out there. Namely, that I stole content. I did not steal anything. I shot and edited the videos in Singapore with my own camera and equipment years ago and I still have the camera and the original files with the time-stamp and time codes. They were shot for fun and not endorsement, back when she was a yoga instructor here in Singapore. When I saw the same pictures and videos still being used but now seemingly endorsing Marysia’s yoga business in the USA, I politely and privately asked her to take them down. She refused outright. She continued to reuse the videos and give the impression on IG and other social media that I was endorsing her. I then asked YouTube and IG to take down the posts featuring me - which they did. YouTube also took down her account as per its own IP policies. I didn’t ask YouTube to suspend the account. I only asked to remove the videos using my image, which I was never once paid for. I believe that it is important that people not be allowed to utilise false endorsement to promote themselves or their products.
Despite my attempts to resolve this amicably with her and out of the public eye, she has perpetuated these falsehoods maliciously in order to slander my name and damage my reputation. I have hired a law firm and will vindicate my name and place the true facts before the Court. I cannot take this lightly because the defamation and deliberate harassment and perpetuation of hate cannot continue. I am glad for the opportunity to present my side of the story with you all and will now look to the courts to vindicate my rights. Nobody should be at the mercy of fake news and cyberbullying.
