Last year I decided to make a real, conscious effort to cut back my time spent on all things tech (and social media). Not just because it's said that it’s better for our mental health, but more so I would find my way back to spending more time in the present moment. Thank you ALL for being patient- I needed a little break from work, and yet I still received, if not more, loving and supportive messages for the year end. Thank you from my ❤️❤️❤️!!!!
I had a brutal end of year filming schedule in 2018, and it still kinda continues (like today ??♀️), but having the little pauses and breaks in real time life, helps sustain the inner wellbeing and joy in what I do for a living.
Of course, you don't have to cut back on tech (or social media) to be more mindful and present throughout your day, but i think a little timeout, a little detox, certainly does help. I highly recommend it from time to time..
If I could describe in one word how all these changes made me feel, I'd say refreshed.
2019 will be a good one. A more sustainable and minimal view on things ...
Plants seeds, observe more, grow and cultivate the right seeds. And don’t forget those healthy boundaries, for self-love, self-care, self-compassion.
❤️, Denise
