was totally just thinking about how i never read online-- just skim. unless but then again most of the information (ie: on blogs) is totally useless. So why process it? Love the idea that the net is changing our brains though. not a totally new thought but fun nonetheless to study it. Also like the part about how after the clock, we stopped following our bodies and just followed time... Interesting ideas on whether thinking is mechanistic... doubt it as what about creative flashes or inspiration... GREAT to hear that the whole point of the internet is to "drive us to distraction" to allow us to click more and see more ads... And amazing to see that someone else likes having space / rattles in the brain.
Madeline Albright on the future of world government...
The idea of a world government seems bad if only because then there would be nothing to compare it too... Totally think that differences exist because there is no perfect answer...
Amartya Sen rocks...
Has this guy never heard of say Animal Collective, NERD, MIA, Beck, Bjork, and like a whole lot of other musicians?? But still, point taken - why the majority of music sucks perhaps. But when you have so much of everything, doesnt most of it suck in any situation?
Starting to consider... AOD.
