Adventures in Shinjuku 新宿大冒險

This is where I interviewed 30 Seconds to Mars, here at the Park Hyatt Hotel, in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. I know, I know, I keep putting out little teasers about it and my trip to Japan.

我在這個房間採訪了30秒上火星。這飯店很美，看起來很貴，哈哈。我來台灣之前沒想到我會有這麼多的不同的機會。真的沒想到我有一天會去日本當主持訪問美國的搖滾樂團。

我的訪問9月底才會播在電視跟收音機電台。我不能分享太多但我能說我訪問之前作了好多功課。我自己在小河岸表演完之後我幾乎都在認真的聽30秒上火星的專輯。因為我知道我要在日本代表台灣人我就特別注意還有想一些我覺得比較有趣的問題去問樂團的人。

It’s my biggest profile interview to date and Taiwan will be syndicating the segment at the end of September. I can’t divulge details beforehand but I can say it was a good experience and certainly one of the highlights of my time in Asia so far. (If you had told me before I moved to Taiwan that at some point I’d be interviewing Jared Leto, the leader of 30 Seconds to Mars, I would have told you that you were crazy.) What I can say is that I prepared a lot for the interview and wanted to ask the band questions that I thought were interesting. Pretty much right after my Riverside show ended, I had their latest album Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams on repeat every chance I got, thinking of interesting questions to ask them.

And this was my first time in Japan! I was in Tokyo for 50 hours, not even 3 days time. Japan is clean, friendly, convenient, and has a great although very intricate public transportation system. Before I arrived, a lot of people were telling me about how great Japan was and I’m happy to say that it’s all true. Ah, and the food, ah, I’ll have to leave that to another post.

這是我第一次來日本。我來之前大家都跟我說日本好好玩。又乾淨，服務又好，交通也方便。全部都是事實。我這次來的很短可是我下次一定會找機會回來。我都還沒有提到日本料理！好，下次。。：）

Anyways, the interview will air at the end of the month and I’ll update as it gets closer to the actual date!
