Movie Battle 2010

Hi everyone!Hope you all had a great Easter!Here in Copenhagen we ended our easter holidays April 9th with a fantastic film-festival.Movie Battle 2010 presented the 1st 'post-apocalyptic' film-festival in Denmark!Among the movies premiering that night were a couple of my good friends latest work..The Last Warrior (Shaky Gonzalez), Eastern Army (Philip Th.Pedersen), Max Fury (Jack Hansen).All the eight movies in competition shared 'the post-apocalyptic' theme, but it was a great mix of drama, comedy and action films that were shown on the evening.A jury panel consisting of various personalities from the Danish film-industry had to choose Best Movie of the year and Best Actor.The jury were amongst others producer Lene Boerglum (Valhalla Rising), actor Thure Lindhardt (Angels and Demons), producer and film critic Nicolas Barbano, actor Jonas Schmidt and finally script consultant Lars C. Detlefsen.The event was a huge success with some great movies and a fantastic audience.It was a great honour being part of the event and I was proud to finally see The film Eastern Army, which had it's long due premiere that evening.Eastern Army ended up taking home "The Audience Award"!!Congratulations Philip and great work my friend!!Best Movie of the year went to my 'Film-Sifu" and good friend Shaky Gonzalez for his movie 'The Last Warrior'.'The Last Warrior' was a fantastic tribute to the 80's post-apocalyptic action adventures and featured a hilarious cameo from the great Erik Holmey reprising his scene from' Conan The Barbarian'.2nd place for Best Movie were the very stylish 'Connected' by Jens Raunkjær Christensen and Jonas Drotner Mouritsen.I was very shocked and humbled to recieve the final award of the evening for 'Best Actor' (Eastern Army)!That was a first for me and I'm just so proud to be a part of the film 'Eastern Army'.I had a great time shooting that movie with an awesome crew, a great stunt-team and some fantastic co-stars Mia, Danny, Ole, Russel and Maja. A big shout out to our director Philip and producer Mikkel!! And I hope the film will find it's audience once it starts touring the world-wide festivals!Check out some of the posters following and a late Happy Easter to everyone ;)
