Vote for Gong Wu

               
Hi everyone.  Linkin Park will be playing on August 16th at Cotai Arena in Macau.  Alive not Dead is holding a contest that allows members to vote for the band that they would like to see open up for them.  

Yes the members of Gong Wu, especially Li Xu, is a good friend of mine but I do truly believe that they should be in the top five to be chosen by Linkin Park. Let me tell you why.

I watch Li day in and day out constantly writing, recording and mixing his music from his living room.  He works at each song non stop to perfection.   He has focused on quite some time now to make sure that Gong Wu’s line up of songs is strictly original material with no cover tunes and is well on his way to doing so.    Also he has been studying and learning how to speak cantonese so that he can reach out to the Chinese speaking audience as well.  

What has the band accomplished this year?:

*The have played numerous times for Underground which is held in Hong Kong every couple of months.

*This year they were asked to play at the “Music Matters Hong Kong” Festival.  It was there that they actually met the management from Linkin Park.  Gong Wu was the only band from Hong Kong that was invited to play this year.

*In June of this year Armani Bar held it’s first Rock’n Roll night.  Everyone wondered how this was possible that Armani Bar had agreed to this and if it was going to work.

Well, Gong Wu played to a packed audience of 400 people and rocked the night away playing a full 1 1/2 hour set proving their endurane abilities as a band .  The night was a success and they are slated to play again this month at Armani Bar.

*They are now officially sponsored for clothing wear by G-Tox design and more recently are now sponsored by Puma who provide them with foot wear.

*Li had his acting day view as he was Cast in Theresa Fu’s music video and short film entitled “Before My Dearest”.
