Well I just rolled back into HK yesterday all recharged and ready for the fast pace life of this city once again. My trip to Bangkok was very relaxing and I enjoyed myself very much. Couldn't have asked for a better bday.... first time in bangkok on my first bday away from home with my first girlfriend in over 3 years. Here's a quick overview of my trip:
FRIDAY: Rolled into town reaching immigration only to realize that I didn't have the address of where i was staying :-s. So had to call my baby to find out. After that we went to her house to relax for a bit and then we went out for dinner in the H1 area and met up with some of her friends for drinks. We then went to Club Twisted where I realized that Asia is a small place and ran into to a number of familiar faces.
SATURDAY: Woke up kind of late after a long nite and went to grab some all you can eat sushi (my favourite kind of place). We then hit up one of the markets for what was some unbelievable shopping. The place was so big that you could walk on for days.
We then took some time out to walk around in a local park to enjoy some serenity and peace and quiet.
We then went ot what was my first Thai massage ever and OH MY GOD, so cheap and so damn good. Lots of pain , which i like, and then never felt so relaxed after in my life. After we had a nice dinner at a thai restaurant and then went home to rest for a bit. But as we were walking home only to be confronted by a bunch of rotweiler puppies, like six of them. They all seemed take a particular liking to me so the surrounded me and started to tug on my shorts and nibble on my legs. I started to walk it off figuring they would go away but then the mother came out and started to growl. Then another dog came out of the wood works and then the whole neighbourhood of stray dogs showed up. It wasn't looking good. But one of the dogs was actually there to tell the Rotweiller family to buzz off and actually kicked one of the puppies asses. Savi had had enough and told the rest of the mutts to go the hell away and they did :'-S. So I did the same and we were good the rest of the way home.
Saturday night we hit many clubs twisted, bed and then did the after hours at The Scratchy Dog. The music was pretty damn good. I don't know what time they finish at but we rolled out at around 5ish i think.
SUNDAY: Sunday was another lazy day of sleeping in. We then got up and went to the lake to do some Jet Skiing with one of Savi's best friends who's a world class Jet Skier. The lake was fine and the Sun was out in full force. After the afternoon at the lake we indulged in some good seafood.
MONDAY: Monday involved a bit of business meeting some modelling agencies and doing a couple of castings as well. The casting process in Thailand is SOOOO LONG, wow. But when they do casting for Commercials there they do your hair, make up and wardrobe while you are there which is kind of cool, so you look as you would if you got the job. After business was done we took my first tuk tuk ride and managed to get some shots of the city.
We then got dropped off at Houson market where there was more unbelievable shopping to indulge in and some good damn cheap greasy pad thai to be eaten. We then headed home after a long day and had dinner at a japanese restaurant later.
TUESDAY: This was my last day to get some sightseeing done and wanted to do the boat tour along the river but like most of the other days it was raining like hell so we didn't manage to go. We went to see the Siam mall and hit up a movie, Indiana Jones. We were sitting in the theatre when the staff came out to say that the film would be delayed another half hour ontop of the twenty minutes we had been waiting already. So my baby went to the admission office and got us GOLD SEAT TICKETS in the gold theatre at no extra charge. Never seen anything like it. Big lounge leather chairs and they provide you with blankets and pillows. I almost fell asleep i was so comfortable. I got a taste of how much Thailand loves their king as people have to stand up in the theatre to pay tribute to a short film and song about the king.
After the movie we went for another massage, grabbed a bite and then headed home as I had to be up early the next day for my flight home.
When i got home my food binging didn't seem to end as I ran into Quinn at the agency office. He had been dieting for the few weeks prior to man hunt and got back into town the same time as i did. He was craving donuts so we went to Krispy Kreme and indulged big time. It's now detox time for me He he.
