American Grammy-winning music producer Robert Fitzgerald Diggs (otherwise known as has been a lifelong fan of martial arts and martial arts movies, the music of the often sampled and referenced classic martial arts cinema (as did their name), and several of their music videos featured action choreography reminiscent of classic kung fu movies. 2010 & 2011 saw him putting his heart and soul into the production of his own tribute to the classic martial arts cinema that helped forge his spirit, Produced by Quentin Tarentino and Universal Pictures, The Man With The Iron Fists, was written by the& Eli Roth - who also produced the film. It sees playing the title character and directing the film as well, following a blacksmith's journey through a martial world filled with all manner of colourful characters... played by everyone from Russell Crowe, Gordon Liu, Daniel Wu, Chen Kuan-tai, Leung Kar-yen, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune, Dave Batista, Byron Mann, Grace Huang, Andrew Lin, Dennis Chan and Celina Jade. Corey Yuen handled the film's fight choreography based upon encyclopedic knowledge of classic kung fu movies and movie styles, with delivering a very physical performance, artfully doubled at times by Marrese Crump and Ian Powers - who also doubled for Russell Crowe for some of his more complicated fight sequences. Impact ’s Far Eastern Editor Mike Leeder also handled much of the casting for the film. According to a recent interview, who will be seen playing the mysterious Blind Master in the second movie. The film has a few more weeks of post-production to go, but it looks as if The Man With The Iron Fists could be a bit of a heavy-hitter
