Well I'm back in Hong Kong and my trip was very productive. I started off last thursday hitting the gym in the hotel really hard as my cover photo shoot for Men's Health was that afternoon. It was a pretty quick session and they were very pleased. Right after that I had to go back to the hotel and head over to the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski. to prep for what was to be our walk on the red carpet in Aussie Bum swmwear. We were the last to walk the red carpet as 7 of us got out of a van and took the papparazi by surprise and we took full advantage of the photo op. After we entered the reception area where we took everyone by surprise. We lead the crowd the the party room where we did our grand finale on the stage before the host introduced the band. After I stepped off I was swarmed by people for photo opportunities. Even had some business cards from some fashion designers (with no where to put the cards but , well you know). It was a great night and made a lot of noise in Jakarta. Don't have any red carpet pics but will post them when I get them.
After a long night I had to wake up early, not only for work, but to take advantage of the breakfast buffet at the hotel because I had eaten no carbs all week. So you can imagine that my time at the buffet was well, a massacre so to speak: dim sum, bacon sausage eggs toast, waffles, pancakes, and lots of black tea to wash it down. I was then off to do my photo shoot for DA MAN (my second this past year). It's going to be a huge 12-20 page spread of nothing but high end suits. This photo shoot was with my favourite photographer Peter Tjahjadi. I have never been so excited about new pictures. In the evening the publisher took us out for a night of a nice dinner and drinks.
One of the locations for the DA MAN photo shoot.
Saturday was a very simple day as it was the first time ever I had an opportunity to sleep in while staying in a ahotel. OK I did get up a bit early for the breakfast buffet but went straight back to bed after and slept til 2pm. Caught a movie had some dinner and then went back to the hotel as my flight back to Hong Kong was at 6:30am.
All in all I'd say that it was a very productive trip. Have some more work lined up here in Hong Kong with room for lots more. But looks like I will be busy for the rest of the year. Good times.
