Hey everyone. Wanted to get this blog done before it becomes more outdated than it already is. I was back in HK a couple of weeks ago to attend the Film Festivities for the week. I rolled in on the Sunday before the AFA awards to have a meeting with my managers and also met with two French Producers as well. The next evening I attended my first Asia Film Awards. I sat in the.... well... if you see from my pic you know what section I sat in . It was a great evening and I was so amazed with the winners which spanned over many countries, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Iran. It was so wonderful to see how many countries have stepped up their game and are able to compete, not just on an Asian Continental Scale but a Global scale as well. The big winner was the Iranian film "A Separation". I admit when I first saw the trailer I was not drawn in. But after attending the film awards I had to see it which I did the very next day. After watching it I fully understood why it has done so well internationally. Yes sir, Thanks to my management team I had some pretty good seats The next evening was the Alive.cn event at Bisous. It was a great evening of drinks and socializing. I caught up with many industry people, some of whom I hadn't seen in a while so it was a great night of getting caught up to speed with everyone.Wednesday evening was jam packed as Supercapitalist director Simon Yin & I made a brief appearance at the HKIFF opening party. We had time to schmooze and mingle before we headed off to our main event.... The Supercapitalist Trailer Release Party. It was a great evening with some celebrities and media present. The new trailer was shown along with some clips from the film. It was a nice little taste for the keeners & fans who wish to see the film. The trailer will be up on the facebook fan page soon so stay tuned. I've heard rumors of a possible HK screening next month and will keep you posted. Also had some time to get some new head shots done by Earl Wan Photography. I've know Earl for quite a few years now and his work just gets better and better. Check it outBack in Beijing for now and have a few things to do before the Beijing Film Festival at the end of this month. Have a great Easter Weekend, everyone
