I just got done with a crazy bit of work for the past 4 days. I actually only had about 5-6 hours of sleep for the past three days alone.
Here's how it went down:
Sat---Worked on a short film tentatively titled the Ritual. I played a cult member complete with a black robe and we sacrificed a girl on a round abandoned fountain. I have some pics from it, I will have to post when I can recover. This was a project for a director I worked with before and he may have a cut finished next week.
Sun---Worked on a small project that took most of the day and took me halfway across the state of Illinois.
Mon---Worked on some police station scenes for episode 8 or Ride Along. The dialogue on this show is so sharp and there is a bit of tension building up as we get near the season finale. Can't wait to see the finished version. Sadly, it was the last time it was referred to as "Ride-Along".
Tues---Worked as an extra on a new movie called The Vow. It stars that Channing Tatum dude and Rachael McAdams. The film is mainly being shot in Canada but came here for a quick 3 day shoot. I had some good face time in the one scene despite we were shooting against a horrible rain storm and a wind storm. The winds were about 70 mph (113 kmph) and we were shooting right on the Chicago river.
And now Ride Along has had it's named changed to The Chicago Code. A recent decision, one which they will hope expand the marketability of the show, I myself am not too fond of the new title. The creator and executive producer sent this message via his twitter:
News of changing Ride-Along title to "The Chicago Code" is true. Reflects our belief that it's more than just a cop show...
...It's a show about the police, politics, the Midwest, history, the city's code. Plus adding "Chicago" to anything is always a good idea
Tomorrow night during the baseball World Series, FOX will debut the first new expanded preview for it.
Also on the plate is alot of upcoming gigs:
I maybe working on a Doritos commercial for the Super Bowl.
The November schedule is looking crazy, I have my constant character (Officer Thomas) on The Chicago Code, a Showtime tv show called Shameless the first week, an indie movie called One Small Hitch, the Matt Damon movie Contagion is also underway plus I am up for a trailer shoot for a cop movie called Predators Game which a lot of my Chicago Code friends are working on. Whew!! I need a vacation!!!
Also an update on my first lead role. I talked to the director of Ghost in the Graveyard he is still in the editing process. The final bit of footage with a mouse for green screen was shot and he decided not to reshoot the ending so it is totally finished on that aspect. It will probably be together by the end of the year.
