"Smile For Me" selected by the 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival!!!

**I am really hoping that this entry will be the first of many more to come about my feature film project "Smile For Me"...

Much like the HAF Forum of the Hong Kong Filmart, the Asian Fantastic Films Forum in Korea is also a funding forum but built solely for genre films...

I have been to many of these funding forums before, Rome, Taipei, Singapore and Australia, the difficulty with presenting a project at these types of forums is that you never really know who you will meet during the festival. The reason I am looking forward to the "PIFAN" is that it is a forum for Genre films, so the visiting investors are expecting to see Crime, Thriller and Horror film projects, so there will be a higher chance of getting funding from companies that specializes in distributing these types of films...

I was surprised to see that only two projects from Hong Kong were selected and the other one is from Pang Ho Cheung, director of the recent "Dream Home" who has been an idol of mine for many years...

And to Pat if you are reading this, thanks for all your help and your script notes during my writing of the script, looks like I finally found a home for this little project of mine. Now with a producer on board and a forum to showcase the project, this will be the first of many more steps towards getting a film made...

I have to keep the storyline of "Smile For Me" under-wraps for now, at least until the festival releases the official forum booklet, hopefully I will be able to post the story and have some casting information to share with you by the end of the month... We have already approached several actors which are also Alivenotdead featured artists... So please stay tuned for more good news!
