Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well. As you can probably guess I have been very busy working on several projects, so I have had little time to keep you all updated.
I am currently working on Jackie Chan's "New Police story" and "Enter the Phoenix", directed by my good friend Steven Fung. Both projects have been very fun and interesting, but it has been so difficult working on two movies at once! I have not done this since I did "City of Glass" and "Yong and Dangerous". I was a lot younger then and my parts were not so big so it was much easier to handle. So when I am not working, I am at home charging my batteries as much as possible and sleeping!
"New Police Story" is my second time working with Jackie. This has been fun because I always enjoy working with one of my biggest idols. "Enter the Phoenix" has been very fun because it's a comedy so we are always laughing on set. I am also working with Eason Chan and Karen Mok, two people who I have never worked with before but have always wanted to. We have lots of fun on set. Steven Fung is a very calm and relaxed director and I really enjoy working with him as a friend and collaborator.
Also I think a few of you have seen the things that me and my "CHISEEN" team have been doing for MTV's Whatever Things. I am a producer and creative director for this and we have been having a lot of fun doing weird and crazy things for the show. If you get MTV try and catch it!
I will now take a break from these projects to go to Taiwan and begin rehearsals for "The Happy Prince" after Taiwan we will come back to Hong Kong and do a few more performances. I heard that our Hong Kong performances have sold out already, so thank all of you who have supported our play and buying tickets!
I also want to thank everyone who have expressed concerns over my injury to my knee. I am ok now but will need to have an operation after I finish working on these projects. Because I will need to spend time rehabilitate my knee after the surgery, I will take some time off from work. Health always comes first! Hopefully after the operation I will be back at 100%!
Ok, on that note, I hope this message finds everyone in good health.
Take Care!
Daniel Wu
