A bunch of guys in suits rambling semantics about policy and stuff I didn't care about. But as I got older, I realized how naive I was. If you want to advocate change in this world you have to get involved, and that's politics. If you don't vote, assholes like Bush get into office and fuck the world up. If you don't vote, our medical system will fail. If you don't vote corporations are allowed to influence governrment. If you don't vote, we fight wars based on lies and thousands of Americans die.

America has never had a worse image problem and we can blame that on the way the politics game is being played now.

I've finally made my decision for '08 and I'm voting for Obama and I'm proud to say that I have just joined his support team. I firmly believe that he will be the one to shake things up for the better, which is exactly what our country needs at the moment. Someone to change the rules for the better. Watch the video above to see some more reasons why I'm for Barack. I wish I knew as much as the guy in the video.

I should also add that all the other candidates are really just doing what they think the people want to get their votes instead of having their own clear vision. Obama has had his own clear vision from the start. The whole "change" theme began with Obama, when all the other candidates saw the reaction it got, they added "change" into campaigns as well. We don't need a someone who is jumping on the bandwagon, we need a president who will lead us into change.

I wish it was a simple as vote and the "right" people will get elected. In 2000, Al Gore won the popular vote--but the electoral college vote (the only one that counts) went for Bush because of the whole mess in Florida. I have never felt Bush was my president. I never voted for him, I never believed in anything he has ever said while running for president or as president. I think he has created an unimaginable mess that will take us at least a decade to extricate ourselves from. I do vote. I vote in national elections. I vote in state and local elections. I even vote in local primaries. Still, people like Bush get voted into office. I have never been able to figure out the appeal of Bush to US voters. Yet he got elected president twice. I don't seem to know any of the people who voted for him, but there seem to have been a lot of them. This is the most depressing aspect of American politics. As good a candidate as Obama is, far too many will vote for McCain. This is going to be a very close election. Every vote will count. I will do my part, as will all of my family and friends like we did in 2000 and 2004. I only hope this time it will be enough to bring about real change in Washington.
