Last week MCA of the Beastie Boys passed and today iconic American car designer Carroll Shelby has died too. A sad couple of weeks for me as these two were idols of mine. After a successful racing career, Carroll Shelby designed and built some of the most iconic American sports cars ever. He was responsible for the Shelby Cobra, Ford GT40, Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang and GT500 Mustang as well as the Dodge Viper. His cars were not only beautiful but incredibly fast and powerful as well, making anything he put his hands on an instant classic. In tribute to his legacy, I took out my Cobra replica today and went for a spin.
