Since I moved to Hong Kong in January of '07, I've only returned to the States once for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year I moved my trip up a couple months so I can spend the lovely holidays with all my peeps in Hong Kong. So last week I flew to California to surprise my sister and my nieces in SoCal. As you can tell my 5 yr old niece, Isabella, was happy to have Uncle Damon around. So were the 3 year old twins Alexandra and Sophia. Don't ask me which one is which. I mean for God sakes they're identical! If constantly asking "Hey, which one are you?" makes me a bad uncle, then fine I'm a bad uncle. At least I bought them presents, even a little taste of Asia: That's right! It's a Hello Kitty puzzle...and they did it all by themselves (Seriously, no clue who's who.)
Then I flew all the way across the country to my home in Miami, Florida. I had one mission, to watch some football. So on Saturday I went with my dad to see the Univ. of Miami Hurricanes (Orange) host the Florida State Seminoles (White). Not only was the game great (even the 'Noles beat the 'Canes 41-39) but I had a great time. Not feeling satisfied, I returned to Dolphins Stadium the next day to watch the Miami Dolphins host the San Diego Chargers. Despite the rain, my friends (me, Chris, Alex, and JR) and I had a great time as the Dolphins beat the Chargers 17-10!Not only does being home allow me some time to spend with family and friends, it also let's me do new and fun things. Like ride around my parents neighborhood on my dad's new toy...his blue scooter. I decided to take the Blue Angel out for a lil' joy ride About 2 blocks from my house I saw this 4 foot long iguana just getting some sun. The end of the street brought a nice place to park the Blue Angel and just enjoy the afternoon breeze off the Atlantic. Well so far my trip has been relaxing and rewarding. Take care everyone, and holla atcha later. Peace!
