On last Friday night, after I landed off an 8am flight from Hanoi and a long nap, I went to watch 'At the End of Daybreak' at the Grand theatre in Elements. This is a re-run after the Best Supporting Actress win by the well deserved Wai Ying Hung (Kara Hui). The movie is a Malaysian film produced by Malaysia/HK/Korea. It has a very different tone then normal Hollywood or HK films. I see some similiarity of this film to Korean films, and it gives the Audience time to get into the mind of the characters.
Go watch this movie at the Grand during their re-run, and see why it's winning awards.
This is during the Q&A last Friday. On the Right is Wai Ying Hung, who looks like she's in her 20s when I saw her in a distance.
