Other than packaging his looks and refining his acting, a transformation for an actor may also be a change in style. It is a celebrity's leap towards his own capability. Starting from the beginning of this year, other than being an actor, Chen Bolin added two more identities under his belt: screenwriter and owner. He opened two companies at the same time, one is for movie tv investment and entertainment management called Beijing Bolin Time Creations; and the other is an apparel store called BRAiNCHild in Taipei.

At first when Bolin was still only an actor, when he is not starring in movies and going to events, he would stay home to watch movies, play guitar or travel with his family. Bolin Chen can no longer be as relaxed after being the owner. Currently in Taiwan, he says, "for the time being, my work is complex and tiring, such as doing a photo shoot for the coming season, discussing the script, having meetings for BRAiNCHiLD." He also disclosed that because BRAiNCHiLD's sales volume is pretty good, he is thinking of starting a female line as well. Bolin Time Creations and BRAiNCHiLD are operating at about the same time, one in Beijing and one in Taiwan. A person's energy is limited, how should one balance? Bolin smilingly says, "both sides are a family. May be they are like my twins, and I suddenly got two more responsibilities. Although they are at different regions, I am not leaning towards either one. They can help me build certain relationships. Making apparels can give me inspirations, or different kinds of life experience.
