Cute concept for the ad. But you know, ever since Wong Kar Wai co-oped that song, whenever I hear it, images from In the Mood For Love take over. That was such a perfect merging of song and image, it is burned into my retinas forever. I do, however, like the crazy, surreal imagery in the stills. For some reason, I'm reminded of Dark City, even though I haven't seen that film in ages, not since I saw it on the big screen when it first came out. But the visual style in that film had the same sort of 1940s style run through some sort of hyperreality filter. I don't know why some things stick in my brain so indelibly, and others slide right off like my brain cells were coated with teflon.
